The drum and wheel skimmer uses the continuous rotation of the hub in a standing semi-submerged liquid to bring the overflowing oil out of the water by adhering it to the surface of the hub, and then scrapes the oil off with the oil scrapers on the side and front of the hub and flows into the oil collection tank, where it is pumped away to achieve the purpose of oil recovery.
The drum/brush skimmer has two interchangeable oleophilic elements – the drum and the brush. Depending on the properties of the oil to be recovered, one of the oleophilic elements is selected and fitted to the skimmer of the skimmer
